This is my personal web-site i use for some things.
This site was made to publish the PC software i make, see under the menu Software to see and download my programs. But don't forget to read the Disclaimer with this software.
There is also a travellog i kept when i made a big trip around Asia on a bicycle, but this in dutch only. There is a summary page for each country, click on the Cycling 2007 menu.
I started with a technical education (Laboratory Technology) but ended up in the ICT sector.
From 1985 i was a system administrator of a PC network based on Novell Netware version 2.
You had to link the fileserver by yourself from many 5¼ floppies.
Later Novell released version 3 and was based on NLM-files,
which can be loaded and unloaded dynamicly, just like Windows DLL-files.
I also implemented version 4 of Novell Netware.
The introduction of NDS (Netware Directory Service) was not an easy one but the NDS was a great concept.
In my private time i always have done some programming. I started with (Beta) Basic and Z80-assembler on a ZX Spectrum. I learned a lot but is was not a very handy system. When IBM introduced the IBM-PC i started with Turbo Pascal and 8086 assembler. After that i followed Turbo Pascal on MS DOS to Delphi 7 on Windows.
All the ideas for my programs i got from my professional environment. I started some time ago with DigiSim. The new subject of technical automation was introduced in the programs of the secundary education (havo and vwo).
Later i focused more into databases. In Delphi it is (was) easy to make database programs with the Borland Database Engine (BDE) but Borland has stopped the support on the BDE. With the introduction of real databaseservers on the PC-platform i changed to a MySQL database in the first place, that is when YAMA came to live. Later i met more and different database platforms and focused to ODBC and i made ODBC Browser.

Building a web-site that meet the standards and still display well in all different browsers is still a problem.
If you print a page from my web-site it will only print the content (in white) not the menu or header.
